Meet Marcela Donat PT, DPT
Dr. Marcela Donat attended Northeastern University and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. She began her journey as a therapist at Franciscan Children’s in Boston MA. From there, she moved back to Rhode Island to work at an outpatient clinic. Here she had the opportunity for multiple continuing education courses including Integrative Dry Needling, Postural Restoration Institute and Selective Functional Movement Assessment.
Dr. Marcela continued to use these as components of her treatment systems. She then went on to work in schools in Rhode Island and St. Thomas. Finally, Dr. Marcela landed in Austin and also continued learning earning her Integrative Nutritional Coaching certificate, became a Certified Women’s Health Coach and is a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Her career journey had taken her through many states and jobs and now she is excited to dive deep in helping women and children feel more connected to their bodies inside and out.
For women—whether you're navigating pregnancy, postpartum, or just dealing with some of those tricky pelvic health issues—Marcela helps ease pain during everyday things like exercise, lifting, or playing with your kids. She also addresses concerns like prolapse, heaviness, frequent trips to the bathroom, and even painful periods, so you can feel more at home in your body.
When it comes to kids, she works with everyone from infants to teens (0-18 years old) and especially loves helping children with disabilities explore their world and find joy in movement. Her goal is to support each child in gaining confidence, independence, and freedom to play and grow.
With a blend of expertise and genuine care, Marcela is here to make a real difference for you and your family.
